A few thoughts….
I just wanted to write a quick message to check in on you, amidst the global chaos affecting us all right now.
These are definitely difficult times but I am 100% sure everything will return to normal very soon indeed.
In the meantime, I would like to share a few thoughts on how I am approaching the situation and hopefully this can give you some ideas too.
With any challenging situation in life, I always ask myself the following question… “What is this teaching me and what opportunities does this open up for me?”
It’s a powerful question and if you can truly go deep within your answers, you will instantly be able to transform any adverse situation into one of the most positive and impactful opportunities in your life.
So let’s say you are now housebound for the next 4 months, and unable to socialise or go out anywhere. What are the opportunities presented to you?
Well you now have no social obligations, no more excuses to avoid people and events you never want to attend in the first place!
You now have a period of uninterrupted time to focus on anything you wish to do. You can learn a new language, play an instrument, read all the books you have desired to do, write your own book, spend quality time with your loved ones, go deeper into your meditations and yoga, improve your cooking skills, declutter and clean up your house, research new business ideas, start or grow your business…. the list goes on and on.
In fact, once you truly begin to focus on the opportunities you now have, you will be amazed at what you can do.
You may never get this time to again to focus fully on yourself and your loved ones, so use this space as an immense blessing to fulfil as many of your life and business goals as you can.
Doing the above will greatly empower your mind and fill your days with enthusiasm, vigour and happiness, however there will still be something missing.
In our ancient scriptures, it is written that looking after yourself and your loved ones is your duty, but true service is when you also look after everyone and everything else.
During these difficult times, even if you are being asked to stay house bound, keep looking for opportunities to be of service and help out wherever you can.
If you see someone is showing sign signs of distress online, send them a direct message and reach out to speak and comfort them.
If you know an elderly person or anyone who may struggle to do their shopping, offer to shop for them when you take care of your own needs.
If you see someone struggling with their business due to the closure, see how you can support them with advice and purchases which may help them to stay afloat.
If you have something positive or funny to say, share it on social media straight away… laughter is ALWAYS the best therapy:)
In fact, just be observant and keep looking for ways to help, big or small. You have no idea how powerful your impact can be to someone.
I will also do my bit and be writing my messages more often to help inspire and uplift anyone who wishes to read whatever I scribe:)
On a final note, don’t forget the power of prayer. Each day pray for yourself, your family, friends, all the brave doctors and nurses tackling this situation directly in the firing line, the world, the environment, the universe…. bless them all. Collectively we can all make a massive difference.
Till next time, stay safe, stay inspired, stay useful for others!! and most of all, stay YOGI!!!:):):)
Sending big blessings
